Pioneer Center offers a wide
breadth and depth of services which are subsumed under four categories: Community
Services, Mental Health Services, Vocational
Services, and Volunteer Services.
Community
Services
Our
Community Services include the Early Intervention Program, the Residential Services Program, the
Client and Family Support and Community Supported Living Arrangement Programs, and the Respite Care
Program.
Mental
Health Services
Our
Mental Health Services comprise another critical element in our agency, and include Residential
Services and the Mental Health Rehabilitation Program.
Vocational
Services
Our
Vocational Services focuses on clients with developmental disabilities, and includes the Adult Day
Program, the Community Employment Services Program, the Traumatic Brain Injury Case Management and
Employment Program, the Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Training Program, the McHenry
Vocational Rehabilitation Center, the Developmental Training Program, and the Senior Care Program.
Volunteer
Services
The
Volunteer Program at Pioneer offers exciting opportunities for volunteers, as well as for clients
and staff. Our volunteers extend friendship to individuals living in the community, as well as
transportation to social events. Volunteers participate in celebrations, cooking Thanksgiving dinner
at our group homes and assisting with making Christmas gifts. Volunteers also help with shopping,
visits to the library, tutoring, and gardening.
