Behavioral Health Residential Program
Our goal is to help individuals live as independently and productively as possible throughout their lives, while receiving the support they need to live safely. We provide either a supportive living program where the individual lives in his or her own apartment with support from our staff or a group home environment.
Pioneer Center’s Community Homes (or Group Homes) provide a family living environment, where adults share a home in the community with up to seven peers, under the supervision of caring staff. Our Community Homes are immaculately maintained and are renowned for their homey feel and passionate staff support. The residents share in all aspects of running a Pioneer Center group home, such as cooking, cleaning and grocery shopping. Pioneer Center has five behavioral health community homes nestled in neighborhoods throughout McHenry County.
Staff also assists individuals with a variety of skills including:
- Psychiatric stability
- Medication monitoring
- Social skills training
- Daily living skills training and problem-solving
