MCHENRY, IL — Through its Community Reinvestment Grant, Castle Bank, a part of First National Bank of Omaha, maintains a steadfast focus on the viability and growth of McHenry County. It has dedicated itself to the community it calls home—knowing that when the community thrives, so does its bank.
In September, Castle Bank awarded $5,000 to McHenry County PADS homeless services, a program of Pioneer Center for Human Services. More than 500 people in the community are assisted each year by PADS whose services are geared to address the root causes of homelessness and not just treat the symptoms.
“We are happy to help support our local partners in McHenry County. We remain focused on giving back to the communities we call home, and we hope this donation will help bring Pioneer Center one step closer to achieving their goals of supporting the homeless community.”
said Brenda Bono, Castle Bank Branch Manager in Lake in the Hills.
The monies awarded will go to assisting individuals reconnect with the community by receiving case management, job training, counseling and psychiatric services, as well as day-to-day services including access to showers, laundry facilities, computers and an address at which to receive mail.
Pioneer Center utilizes funds contributed by the community to provide direct services to over 3,000 people each year. The organization dedicates itself to men, women, children and families who are looking to achieve their full potential and lead rich, full lives. Whether they seek behavioral health services, developmental disability services, sexual assault crisis intervention or homeless services, Pioneer Center’s commitment of “empowering individuals to achieve their full potential” remains its mission and focus.
