The 11th Annual Holiday Book Review benefiting Pioneer Center is now accepting reservations!
“Year after year this event continues to sell out with over 500 guests in attendance supporting our mission. It is a fun-filled, spectacular way to kick off the holiday season,” said Amy Hernon, Director of Development for Pioneer Center.
The event, in its eleventh year, will take place at D’Andrea Banquets in Crystal Lake on Friday, December 2. The event includes nearly 75 gift basket raffle items and a grand raffle featuring Disney Theme Park Hopper Tickets, an Apple iPad, a 55” Ultra HD LG Flat Panel TV and a nearly 2 carat diamond bracelet.
This year’s presentation, entitled Christmas at the White House, will be presented by book dramatist Jenny Riddle. It will provide a sneak peek into this magical time of the year when the world’s most famous address, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, is aglow with decorations, celebrations and music. Attendees will learn how the First Families through the years brought their own unique style to the White House at Christmastime—what were their favorite carols and traditions, how were their celebrations and stories influenced by what was going on in the country and in the world.
Doors open at 10:45 am with a social hour and raffles, lunch will be served at 12:30 pm and the book review begins after lunch. Tickets are $50 each or you can purchase tables of 10 for $500.
In addition, you don’t have to attend the event to take your chance at winning one of the four great grand raffle prizes. Grand raffle tickets can be purchased online at www.holidaybookreview.org for only $10 each or 6 for $50. Winners need not be present at the event and all proceeds benefit Pioneer Center.
To make your reservations or purchase grand raffle tickets, visit www.holidaybookreview.org or call (815) 759-7144.
