“Recovery: The Journey to Health & Wellness-Tools for Recovery” conference will take place on Friday, September 18 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at McHenry County College Conference Center, 8900 US HWY 14, Crystal Lake. People who have mental health concerns, family members, professionals and community members are all encouraged to attend this fifth annual event hosted by the McHenry County Behavioral Health Foundation.
The conference will include an expo for networking and information sharing as well as feature presentations by keynote speakers Nanette Larson, Director of Recovery Support Services for the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Mental Health and Mark Sanders, an international speaker in the behavioral health field whose presentations have reached thousands throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada and the Caribbean Islands. In addition, there will be several breakout sessions to choose from.
Participating organizations include NAMI, Thresholds, Pioneer Center for Human Services, Centegra Health System, Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health, Rosecrance and others.
