Pioneer Center has re-imagined its former gala fundraiser and excitedly presents Moonlight & Madness this summer. Set for Friday, June 15 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm, this fun twist on your standard, run-of-the-mill fundraiser will invite attendees to get their “jive” on as they enjoy period beverages, scrumptious appetizers, a cash bar, 1940s dance lessons and live toe-tapping swing music.
The venue location will be the popular Smith’s Central Garage in McHenry. Live music will be provided by up and coming non-profit Culture Arts & Music. Guiding the 1940s dance lesson will be Brian Noon, a championship ballroom and Latin dancer.
“This event is not only a unique, Friday night date destination that you can brag to your friends about…but also a retro recreation of a time when jazz music lit up the corner bars across America,” said Jordan Debbink, Special Events and Volunteer Coordinator for Pioneer Center. “In partnership with Culture Arts and Music of Woodstock, this one-night benefit for Pioneer Center will hopefully be the experience our community has been missing.”
Be sure to wear your stepping shoes and bring your date to this unique “night out” experience. Tickets are limited, so those interested are encouraged to make their reservations asap. The cost is only $25 per person or $45 per couple. Reserve your tickets now!
