STAR, which stands for Sharing Time and Resources, is a charitable, not-for-profit organization based in Wauconda, IL, that is hosting its 2nd Annual Tee Up 4 Charity Golf Outing on Friday, June 26, at Prairie Isle Golf Club, 2216 Il Route 176 in Crystal Lake, IL. Proceeds from the golf outing will benefit Pioneer Center for Human Services’ Autism Program.
“We partnered with STAR for the first time last year and it was an amazing experience. Their commitment to giving back to the community is heartfelt and we at Pioneer Center couldn’t be more delighted that they chose to name us the beneficiary of the event again this year,” said Christin Kruse, Chief Development Officer for Pioneer Center.
Open to the public, Tee Up 4 Charity is a best-ball scramble. Check-in is at 11 am with a shotgun start at 12:30 pm. Participant entry fees are $100/golfer or $400 for a foursome. The fee include 18 holes of golf, cart, box lunch, group photo, dinner and a gift bag. Competitions will include Longest Drive, Longest Putt and Closest to the Pin. Non-golfers are welcome to join the dinner portion of the event for $25/person.
“With only a limited number of spots still available, we are hoping to sell-out the event and raise the most money possible for Pioneer Center’s Autism Program,” added Cyndi Sarabia, one of STAR’s volunteer coordinators.
Companies and individuals can also get involved by becoming an event sponsor, donating prizes for the silent auction or by offering fun items for the event’s gift bags.
