What is Child And Family Therapy?
A comprehensive behavioral health program designed to provide therapeutic intervention in the lives of McHenry County youth and their families. Whether a young person is experiencing symptoms related to ADD or depression, our Child & Family Therapy Center can assist the youth in developing the insight, skills, and strategies to improve their functioning. Using evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches outpatient therapy provides high-quality intervention to improve the lives and futures of young people.
The Child & Family Therapy Center at Pioneer Center offers individual and family therapy. Individual therapy is beneficial for the young person in need of one on one service to address their mental health needs. Family therapy is utilized to enhance the communication and dynamics within the family unit to improve the individual client’s overall functioning and the health of the family dynamic.
Who is Being Served By The Child & Family Therapy Center?
Youth, under the age of 18, and their families who have a mental health diagnosis and need therapy services to help them develop skills. Youth can be referred by behavioral health providers, schools and through self-referral by the family or individual young person.
What Is Different About Our Program?
Every child and family is unique with individual needs. At Pioneer Center those needs are attended to through the entire therapy experience. Using a trauma-informed approach to services, we strive to create a nurturing, safe and responsive therapy experience. It is our goal to have families and those we serve feel supported, respected and empowered. Our goal is to have each experience embody these principals—from the moment families come into our specifically designed reception area and throughout their entire journey with us.
Insurance and Sliding Fee Scale
Our Child & Family Therapy Center is happy to offer a sliding fee scale to those who qualify. The sliding fee scale provides access to our services regardless of income or insurance provider. Proof of income is required to determine rates for services and will be needed before the scheduling of any appointments. Current insurance accepted: Medicaid (Meridian Health Plan, IlliniCare Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Harmony Health Plan, CountyCare Health Plan, Molina Health Care)
