Volunteer Groups

Do you like to have fun and inspire others through joined passions?  Come for a visit at our next Pioneer Women’s Network (PWN) or the Pioneer Men’s Alliance (PMA) meeting to learn ways to get involved.

Pioneer Center volunteers are a collaborative group of individuals from around McHenry County and surrounding areas who come together to aid in the mission of Pioneer Center through education, fundraising, and supporting Pioneer Center clients.

The Pioneer Women’s Network (PWN) and Pioneer Men’s Alliance (PMA) meet monthly to discuss new fundraising ideas, sponsorships, and community outreach. All volunteers are required to pass/renew their training, be under staff supervision and submit to a background check and state agency list reviews.

Pioneer Women’s Network

The PWN and its event committees are a collaborative group of people from McHenry County and surrounding areas who love to come together to support the mission of Pioneer Center. Participants enjoy social time, laughs, learning, and purpose while having fun through planning Pioneer Center’s fundraising events, and supporting our community partners. Enjoy educational guest speakers, social outings, cookouts with clients, fundraising, event planning, and various community outreach.

Pioneer Men’s Alliance

Pioneer Men’s Alliance supports, promotes, and encourages men to join together to invest their time and talents to benefit the mission of Pioneer Center as well as the greater community.  The alliance was created by a group of local men who wanted to make a positive difference for the clients of Pioneer Center, while also improving the quality of life in McHenry County.  The alliance meets monthly to socialize, learn, volunteer, and plan ways to help promote the mission.  If you are looking for a way to get more involved where you are making an impact, consider joining our alliance.  We have found that working together, PWN has created a positive and powerful force in our community.
